History of the Victoria Haliburton Law Association

The Lindsay Law Association, as it was known at the time, was first organized on March 26th, 1885, with then librarian E.A. Gee.

The law library was housed in the courthouse at 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario.  In 1998 it moved to it's present location 440 Kent Street, West, Lindsay.

Of note, former Ontario Premier Leslie M. Frost was the president of the association in 1932.
